Let’s face it: Coming into a regular yoga studio as a man usually means that you are a minority. For various reasons, yoga is seen by many as something for women. This is even more regrettable when you consider that in the past yoga was only practiced by men.
What is vinyasa yoga?
Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic form of yoga that combines movement and breath to achieve balance and connection between body and mind. Vinyasa means “to place in a special way” in Sanskrit and aligns a conscious sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow.
All classes are taught by male teachers and adapted to the specific needs and challenges of a male body. There will be elements of power yoga, to improve general fitness and endurance – and just because it’s fun!
Classes are for students of all levels and ages. A basic level of fitness is recommended – let’s sweat!
